Ex Prisoner of war in Japan - 1942/45 building the Burma/Siam railway. Had his birth year as 1919, but BMD showed it as 1918. BMD shows mother's maiden-name as Harly. But cannot find the wedding. According to Joe he was at Singapore. Did a quick search and can find a W Waterfield on the FEPOW site listed as a l/sgt (lance sergeant) in the 6th Regt royal norfolks. Service no. 5776822, captured 15/02/1942 FreeBMD shows mother's maiden name as Harly not Hardy Death register (Norwich,Norfolk, Vol 4B,, Page 1961, Line 24 shows dob as 03 Dec 1918)
