Poor old edmund, I cannot make him fit. There is a recorded birth around 1823 and it shows him marrying Ann around 1843, which seems OK. But, the census records from the lady at South Creake show him as 38 in 1871 when he was in fact 48. Also it seems odd that he does not show up on any census records between 1841 and 1871 although it is perfectly possible that he "lived in" elsewhere, but I would still expect him to show up. The answer may be that he was a soldier, according to the parish records for his marriage in 1848
